Simple Bag with Candy Cane Wrap

I just LOVED this when I saw it!!!

But I didn't have any of those awesome bags. :( However, I DID have these really cute Penguin bags from Dollar Tree :) So...here is what I came up with from the above inspiration.

I wasn't really sure it I wanted to take on making this paper snowflake...but I LOVED it! And I'm glad I did! It really was not all that difficult. Looks harder than it was.

I thought this would make the most striking embellishment on a large package. Not to mention an awesome home decoration strung through the house!

I also created some music paper that you can download HERE for this project. I printed it out on the beige paper, but it could be printed on any color. I printed it front and back.




There are quite a few different tutorials out there on this. I found that I liked the one from Weaver Girl Guz. You can find it HERE. If this tutorial is not working well for you, a google IMAGE search for paper snowflake will pull up other tutorials. It's just easiest to use the image search so that you can actually see this type of paper snowflake.

Paper Boxes

These boxes are the same...only different.

The only difference is the size of the boxes.

The red and white checkered one is made from a 12 X 12 sheet of scrapbook paper. The other is tiny and is made from a Christmas greeting card.

This is one of those things that comes in SO HANDY to know! I even use these boxes to organize my bathroom drawer without the tops on them. They make great little dividers.

At our event, part of the I's A Wrap door prize was some paper bows that I made from 2 sided gift wrap so that they matched perfectly. I get the gift wrap at Costco and I LOVE IT! It is two sided, sturdy, and has so many uses.

This is SO easy - and so it's fun and quick too! I just cut the tube in about 1/2 inch sections. I cut the first one the size I wanted it, and then used it to mark down the tube in segments using a pencil so that they would all be the same width.


Then I just glued them together. WAY easy.

I love how they used the ornament on this gift package!

There are many elaborate things that can be done with paper tubes. Lots of people are making amazing art by spray painting them.

When I was a kid, I thought one of the coolest things ever was to turn a Kleenex into a carnation. Now a-days, we call them "pom poms". Of course I could not resist this idea when I had a pantry full of what it would take to create pom poms and they were FREE!!!
